This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career within a supportive and highly experienced department, working on a broad and varied caseload that includes interesting and complex high‑value estate matters.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Running your own caseload, including drafting Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and dealing with Trust and Estate Administration — including complex matters involving High‑Net‑Worth, business, and agricultural clients.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Contributing to the growth and future development of the department, including assisting with client development, marketing initiatives, and networking activities.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues and collaborating effectively within the wider team.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including Lexcel standards.
  • Working towards and achieving financial targets as agreed with the Department Head or Branch Partner.
  • Handling routine and complex enquiries from clients and telephone callers professionally, ensuring complaints are resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Ensuring that work produced by support staff meets the highest quality standards.
  • Undertaking additional tasks that may reasonably be required within the scope of the role.

You Will Have:

  • 2–6 years PQE in Wills, Estates & Tax Planning.
  • Possession of the STEP qualification, or currently working towards it, or the ability to demonstrate technical skills and experience equivalent to STEP, along with a willingness to undertake the qualification.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to nurture existing relationships and help generate new business through networking and profile-raising activities.
